Our company has signed an MOU (memorandum of understanding) agreement with the goal of establishing a local joint venture, in order to strengthen and expand businesses in the Middle East and Asia, with local shipping container and logistics companies in both the Republic of Turkey and the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
The purpose of this memorandum of understanding agreement is to develop new transportation routes, broaden transportation services, and expand business opportunities by taking advantage of the networks of our company and the other two companies.
As a business partner of the Republic of Turkey, "TRK Shipping Inc" (Headquarters: Istanbul) is a logistics company within the shipping container transport group, TURKON LINE (Turkon Container Transportation & Shipping Inc., Headquarters: Istanbul), and uses its logistics network to provide a wide range of transport services from the Middle East and the Mediterranean to North America and Europe.
Both companies are under the umbrella company, TURKON HOLDING (Headquartered in Istanbul), which besides these two, owns companies in the shipbuilding, ship chartering, and shipping agent industries.
As a partner of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, "HRC Shipping Limited" (Headquartered in Dhaka), is a shipping container company under the umbrella of the HRC Group (Headquartered in Dhaka), and is engaged in ocean transport to neighboring countries, centering around Chittagong Port, as well as the logistics business including customs clearance. Under the umbrella, other businesses include a shipping agent company, financial institutions (bank, insurance agency, trust bank), a real estate development company, and an integrated tea production and sales company.
Recently, Japan has built a close relationship with the two countries. Japanese companies have expanded their presence into Turkey and neighboring countries, and it is expected that in Bangladesh as well, there will be an increase in cargo and development assistance from the Japanese government.
Th overseas infrastructure development will be in China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, as well as the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E), a business partner, and the South Africa Republic.
